The Surfhostel is a vibey beach-themed Hostel is located in the vibrant area of Blouberg – renowned for its extraordinary kiteboarding and thriving surf culture.
01. Re-Brand Development
After years of being the pioneers of surf and kite-surf accommodation in Capetown, an upgrade to the modern web world was needed. Using existing branding, we created a fresh, cool look and feel for this unique hostel.
02. Website Build
A brand new WordPress website was built to showcase their awesome venue and modern rooms. An online booking and payment system was set up to help make the booking process easier and more user friendly.
03. Brand Marketing
We are in the process of setting up Google Ads for the Surfhostel and will be creating and launching the ads just before the start of the summer season in Capetown.. Check back and don’t miss out!

Shades of turquoise was used along with a light sand colour to emphasize the beach vibe of this surf themed hostel. It gives off a relaxed and homey look and feel.
Two school friends, Chris and Bernd, moved from their home in Germany to settle in Cape Town. With the opening of the Surfhostel in 1998, together, they became the pioneers of windsurf accommodation in Blouberg.
This was a re-branding project – refreshing the website with a new look and fresh WordPress build. A relaxed look and feel was created, an online booking & payment system, along with room info pages and contact forms.
With local experience of over 26 years, there are few questions the Surfhostel team can’t answer. From all the best surf and kiting spots, to the tourist attractions, car hire help, restaurant recommendations, wine farms and much more!
